How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate the Platform: Manage your account, provide access to Services, identify you as a content creator, and offer technical support. SUPERNOVA does not host, store, or transmit content (e.g., audio, video, livestreams)—this occurs via third-party services you control.

- Analyze Usage: Provide data to pro users about their content’s popularity (e.g., listens, follows), without hosting the content ourselves.
- Enforce Rules: Prevent breaches of our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, or laws, including age restrictions using birth data.
- Public Profiles: Display optional profile data (excluding email) publicly, accessible via the Website, API, or Services.
- Process Payments: Use name, address, and payment details for subscriptions, secured via SSL encryption and PCI compliance.
- Connect Users: Suggest connections based on Facebook/Twitter data, if linked, which you can adjust.
- Improve the Platform: Analyze usage to enhance features and customize experiences.
- Advertising: Show relevant ads based on your interactions (e.g., listening habits, location), without sharing personal data with advertisers. Ads are targeted using generic criteria (e.g., age range, city) or recent content views. Third-party ad networks may collect cookie data for this—see their policies for opt-out options.
Sharing of Your Information
We share your information only as described here or in our Cookies Policy:
- Other Users: Public profile data (excluding email) and your interactions (e.g., comments, listens to pro users’ content) are visible to others.
- With Consent: We share data if you explicitly agree, made clear at collection.
- Service Providers: Third parties (some outside Africa) process data for us (e.g., analytics, payment processing), only as necessary and under strict security instructions.
- Connected Apps/Networks: Linking to Facebook, SoundCloud, Twitter, etc., shares certain data (e.g., public sounds). SUPERNOVA isn’t responsible for these services—review their policies.

- Legal Requirements: We disclose data if legally permitted or required (e.g., court orders).
- Protection: We share data to defend our rights, users, or the Platform’s safety.
- Business Transfer: Data may transfer in a merger, acquisition, or insolvency.
Cookies and Similar Technology
We use cookies and similar tech to improve the Platform, detailed in our Cookies Policy. Third-party ads may use your interaction data for personalization, per your device settings. By not blocking cookies (per Cookies Policy instructions), you consent to their use and our collection of related data.
