Edith is giving Fenwa the silent treatment after her encounter with his ex. As she goes about her day she involuntarily opens her ex’s status (Abdul) which she immediately regrets.

Later on in the day, her best friend Mariam pays her a visit and they talk about Mariam’s abusive relationship.

Edith eventually goes to settle things with Fenwa. As they talk, a call from Abdul pops up and Fenwa notices. This trips Fenwa who accuses her of being a hypocrite. She confesses she was feeling insecure and they both have an emotional moment. As the moment persists, a text comes in from a Mr Komolafe which fills Fenwa with dread.

When Are We Getting Married is a story of two young lovers who move in together and try to make their relationship work in spite of their divergent views on life.

This show reveals how important chemistry is but how it isn’t nearly enough to make a relationship work. It also touches on peculiar problems young people face in contemporary Nigeria while also navigating romance.
Edith and Fenwa are on different wavelengths about love and the prospect of getting married. They must fight the world, their fears, their pasts and each other if their relationship will survive and go the distance.
